The very first overwater bungalows were built here in The Islands of Tahiti, and they have become a symbol of Polynesian luxury. The overwater bungalow is the very emblem of The Islands of Tahiti. The first ones were built in Raiatea in 1967 by the three Americans who owned the Bali Hai Hotel. Built in the style of traditional Polynesian architecture, from local wood with a roof of pandanus leaves, they are like jewels placed on the clear waters of the lagoon. Always stylishly decorated and equipped with TV, internet and air conditioning, they are perfect setting for a magical vacation.

A spacious private terrace from which you can dive straight into the lagoon, refined furnishings and decoration, with a window in the floor to observe the tropical fish swimming in the clear water below. In Bora Bora, you have a choice of views: the reef and the Pacific Ocean or the majestic Mount Otemanu, with glorious sunrises and sunsets to admire. When you make your reservation, you have the opportunity to choose the view you’d prefer from your overwater bungalow. Study the options and decide whether you’d rather wake up looking at the ocean, or at Mount Otemanu and the island of Bora Bora. Many of the hotels are actually situated on a motu, which adds an even more exotic touch to your vacation. At night, you’ll be rocked to sleep by the sound of the waves rolling onto the coral reef. A shuttle service will collect you from the airport and will take you to the main island for visits.
