Taurumi, the Traditional Polynesian Massage

A Polynesian massage or taurumi is part of the traditional medicine of the islands. It continues to be used to calm babies and in the healing arts of the tahua (healers). Handed down from generation to generation, taurumi is practiced by tracing the energy lines of the body by applying pressure with the hands and elbows.
