SATURDAY OCTOBER 26TH in Events Tahiti

Here is the 4th edition of this event highlighting Polyphonic traditional songs of Polynesia. Last year the Australs were in the limelight and had gathered more than 300 singers, a most impressive choir that had thrilled all the spectators during the interpretation of a tārava tuha’a pae.

For the fourth year in a row and since 2015, all the tārava will be represented, up to those we most ignored: those of the Marquesas and Tuamotu. Accompanied by trainings representing Tarawa Tahiti, Raromata’i and Tuha’a pae, they promise us an evening rich in emotion of the pleasure of discovering and hearing these tārava whose identity is so marked that they can not register in the competition criteria of Heiva i Tahiti.

A first, and the opportunity to differentiate between each singing archipelago and its specificities. The concert will be preceded as usual by hands-on workshops led by the groups themselves to learn more about the songs, and to learn the common song that everyone will sing at the end of the evening. It is a very beautiful friendly meeting which is profiled between the groups and their public, to value a traditional art as rich as it is little known.
