A culinary journey through Tahiti and Moorea in the eyes of a local

October 12, 2021 in Experience

Culinary experiences in The Islands of Tahiti are internationally renowned for their modern take on French cuisine with a Polynesian influence. With a focus on locally grown products and an abundance of access to seafood, Tahitian cuisine gives locals and visitors the opportunity of enjoying a variety of dishes found nowhere else.

Until the Australian borders have opened to the destination, Tahiti Tourisme continues to educate travel agents by inviting them to a culinary and cultural adventure with a special guest, Heimata Hall from Tahiti & Moorea Food Tours. Born and raised on the island of Moorea, Heimata had a burning passion to become a chef while working for the family’s pearl business. Heimata will take you off the beaten path, discovering local cuisine from street food vendors, cafes, and lesser-known culinary experts to give you a taste of the diverse cultural melting pot of Tahitian cuisine.

As part of its ongoing Tahiti Specialist Programme with inspiring and educating travel agents in Australia on the destination, Tahiti Tourisme and Heimata will offer travel agents to virtually experience and discover the culinary culture of the destination through the eyes of a local.

The food tours webinar will take place on 19 October 2021 at 11:30AM (AEST)
